In Memory Of
Linda Eargle
1961 - 2016
On August 6, 1983, she married Robert O. Eargle at the Church of the Brethren in Olathe, Kansas.
Linda enjoyed being the digger for her volleyball team in high school and playing tennis with Robert and friends in college. She worked at Westview Elementary for 20 years where she taught numerous children reading skills. Linda supported her daughters by being a Girl Scout leader, teaching Sunday school, and cheering for K-State every weekend. Her favorite ways to enjoy life included motorcycle rides, cruising in the mustang, helping in the community garden and frequenting Antique Malls and the Swap Shop where she would buy angels, crosses, and signs. She loved visiting family in South Carolina and spending relaxing days at the beach. One thing that everyone who knew Linda would say about her, "She never met a stranger, she always made a friend for life."
She is survived by her husband of 33 years Robert Eargle, daughters Ashley (Kyle) Harris and Alyson Eargle, parents Brian and DIan Steele, sisters Beverly (Tim) Furlong, Katie (Danny) Goyer, Debbie Wilson and their families.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Westview Elementary School by check to Olathe Public Schools Foundation with "Linda Eargle" written in the memo field, or Animal Control Unit-City of Olathe through their website.
