Zane Lee Todd, III, passed away at his home in Kansas City, MO, February 28, 2022. Zane was born in Merriam, Kansas, June 27, 1993, to Zane and Becky (Burch) Todd.
He attended Blue Valley West and earned an Associate's Degree from Johnson County Community College in May 2019. Zane currently held the position of Supervisor at UPS, in Kansas City, MO.
Zane is survived by his parents of Overland Park, KS; sister Brittany Todd (Bryce) Denver, CO; honorary brother Andrew Damewood, Overland Park, KS; grandparents Sharon Burch, Columbus, KS; Linda Willis, Pittsburg, KS; Zane and Janet Todd, Calistoga, CA; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Zane was preceded in death by his grandfathers Larry Burch, Columbus, KS; and Dan Willis, Pittsburg, KS.
Zane was an avid musician who played bass in numerous bands over the years. You might have seen him on a skateboard or stoking a fire in the backyard, and either way Zane always had a big smile on his face. He had a kind soul and his love and compassion were infectious to all those he encountered.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 2:00pm at Penwell-Gabel - Olathe Chapel, 14275 South Black Bob Road Olathe, KS 66062.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Another Chance Cat Rescue, PO Box 8526 KC, MO 64114 or PayPal them at mherron265@gmail.com, in honor of Zane's cats Josie, Luna, Salem, and Samson.
