WORDS FROM HIS FAMILY:
Maybe you met Woody during his time as a Reserve Sheriff, buying some carpet, taking a carriage ride or one of his many entrepreneurial business ventures. Or, maybe you knew him from his coaching days of softball, water skiing at the lake, playing a round of golf, drinking a cold beer or having a cup of coffee with him at the local place. He was always glad to be there, easy going and ready to help anyone with what they might need. He loved fast cars, old trucks and taking his chances at the blackjack and craps tables.
Being one of the middle children of 13, he knew the importance of family. Family came first and if you were a friend of the family then you became a part of the family. He loved his wife and his girls and, most important, his granddaughter, Timber; or, as most of us knew her as "his boss". Woody would want us all to celebrate those moments of time that each of us captured with him.
He worked hard and played hard living life to the fullest each and every day. His family, friends and the many people's lives he touched throughout the years will miss him dearly. Knowing he is in heaven and has joined his old friends who passed before him, we can be assured he is smiling down upon us thankful for what he was given while with us.
