Winifred Hubbard

Winifred Zoe Hubbard, 98, Olathe, Kansas, passed away on February 23, 2008 at Lakeview Village Care Center, Lenexa, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Olathe Medical Center at 20333 W. 151st Street, Olathe, Kansas 66061.
Winifred was born May 2, 1909, the daughter of Roy and Adella Walters. She graduated from Ottawa High School, Ottawa, Kansas, in 1922, and attended Ottawa University. Winifred was married to Maurice R. Hubbard. Winifred taught school at Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, Kansas for 38 years before retirement. Winifred was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Olathe Hospital Auxiliary, Olathe Hospital Foundation, Sigourneau Club, and PEO Sisterhood. She was a former member of the Olathe School District Board of Education. Winifred was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice, in 1973. Survivors include her three children and spouses; Barbara A. and Michael McCaughey, St. Michaels, Maryland, Robert W. and Roseann Hubbard, Evergreen, Colorado; and James R. and Susan Hubbard, Prairie Village, Kansas. She also leaves five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
