William Reno

William Morgan Reno, 33, Olathe, KS passed away Friday, May 11, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Will was born May 16, 1973 in Olathe, KS where he lived most of his life. He was a 1991 graduate of Blue Valley High School. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1995 from Kansas State University and went on to receive his Aviation Technology degree from KSU in Salina in 1997.

Will began his career as a flight instructor in Broomfield, CO. He then joined Mesa Airlines in 1999 where he achieved the rank of Captain. His last base as a commercial pilot was Nashville, TN. It was there that he met the love of his life, Ruth Schroeder. They married on July 15, 2006 in Stanley, KS. His lifelong joys included his family, flyfishing, bow hunting, and anything to do with the outdoors. But above all his greatest passion was to serve Jesus Christ in ALL that he did and to bring Him glory.

Will leaves behind his beloved wife, Ruth; parents, Alan & Fran Reno; brothers: Ron (Betsy) Reno, Dave Reno, and Brian (Kristin) Reno; sisters: Terri (Todd) McCrery, Gail (Doug) Dillingham, Susie (Ryan) Fowler, and Joy (Seth) Reece, as well as 17 adoring nieces and nephews whom he loved.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University and/or Compassion International in Colorado Springs, CO.
