William Nuss
William "Bill" Nuss, 73, Olathe, Kansas passed away Saturday, July 1, 2006 in Olathe, KS. The family suggests contributions to Grace Hospice, 9200 Ward Parkway, suite 410, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Bill was born September 29, 1932 Sutton, Nebraska. He was an US Army Veteran. He worked 17 years for F.W. Woolworth Stores and managed 3 stores throughout the state of Kansas, before owning and operating Nuss's Ben Franklin Store in Hays, Kansas for 19 years. They then moved on to Lenexa, Kansas where they purchased a Hallmark and American Greeting Stores. He retired in 1992.
He was a member of the Elk's, and life time member of the American Legion and Optimist Club.
He was preceded in death by a brother Robert G. Nuss.
He leaves his wife of 46 years Sally (Foster) Nuss; son Tony L. and wife Connie Nuss of Chanhassen, MN; daughter Debbie L. and husband Mark Medlin of Olathe, KS; sister Mary Green of Tujunga, CA; grandchildren Emily and Michael Nuss, Jessica and Katlin Medlin.
