William Griffin

WILLIAM "BILL" GEORGE GRIFFIN, age 81, passed away January 11, 2007 in Overland Park, Kansas, surrounded by his family. The family suggests memorials to the charity of your choice.
Bill was born in Chicago, IL on April 20, 1925 to William and Geraldine Griffin. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII and received a Purple Heart. He was a Prisoner of War during his service in Germany, and was released at the end of the War. He married Carol Bryan on May 20, 1974 , and they made their home in Overland Park, KS. Bill retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield after twenty–six years of service. He was a member of the Mensa Society.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, his children Bill Griffin, Jr., Robert (Kay) Griffin, Nancy (Rick) White, Pat (Jim) Booth, Ellie (Ted) Fetzer, and Janine (David) Smith, grandchildren; Bobbie Magana, Bryan, Tyler, and Jessica Smith, Emily Fetzer, Katie and Jackie Booth, Michelle Bradley, Stephanie White, Todd Lisenby, Stacye Perriman, and Lynn Scott, two great-grandchildren; Monika and Frankie Magana. Also survived by his sister, Patricia Peterson.
