William G. Doyle, 64, Olathe, KS passed away at KU Medical Center on Sunday, March 18, 2007. The family suggests memorials to the KU Med. Palliative Care Team, in care of the KU Endowment Fund, 3901 Rainbow Blvd, Kansas City, KS 66160-7220.
Bill was born November 15, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN living in Missouri and the Greater Kansas City area most of his life. He was a 1961 graduate of East Waterloo High School in Waterloo, Iowa and later obtained his B.A. from Friends University. He was an Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam Conflict serving in Greece, and while there he worked on the Telescope at the Observatory prior to a space shot.
He was a self employed plumber and electrician retiring in 1992. He was most recently employed by Home Depot. He was a member of N.R.A., Air Force Association, Promise Keepers, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Earl Collier Post #153 of the American Legion, and the Masonic Lodge in Sedalia, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Dusty & Marian Doyle, brother; Russell Volkert, sisters; Verna Cook and Valorie Norisada.
He leaves his wife; Charlotte Doyle, stepmother; Teresa Doyle, brothers; Richard Volkert and Dustin Doyle, sisters; Debbie Day and Susie Peoples, children; David (Angie) Doyle, Donald (Ofelia) Doyle, Duane Doyle, Laurel (David) Lewark, Melody (Shawn) Freeman, T.J. (Heather) Bridges, Dianne (Bobby) Lay, and Danielle Bridges, grandchildren; Joe, Seth, Stephanie, Derek, Duane, Daniel, Denise, Aurora, Charli, Trey, Ciara, Shaun, Isaiah, Madisyn, Kassidy, Colton, Kelley, Dominique, Bryce, James, and Joseph.
