William John Cox

William John Cox, age 87, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on May 24, 2019 at the Hoeger House. John was born on October 7, 1931 in Kansas City, KS. He lived with his significant other, Sandy Smith. John was the owner of Cox Construction. He enjoyed spending time at Walnut Grove Ranch, eating out and watching westerns. John is preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Winifred (Yearsley) Cox, wife Carole (Bacchus) Cox and step-son Danny Bacchus. John is survived by his sister Mary Florence Singleton, significant other Sandy Smith (Brian, Spencer and Brantley), step-son Bob Bacchus (Kim), four granddaughters: Katy (Tate) Langford (Bill), Rachel Tate, JK (Tate) Hufford (Grant), Brady Bacchus and two grandsons: Brooks Bacchus and Brian Bacchus, and nine great-grandchildren: Haley, Jackson, Ethan, Bryce, Taytem, Genevieve, Mason, Emeryson and Henry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 1-2PM at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, Kansas.

A graveside service will be held at 3PM the same day at St. Mary's Cemetery in Louisburg, KS.
