William "Wild Bill" Boyd

April 16, 1945 — July 12, 2017

William "Wild Bill" Glenn Boyd, 72, of Spring Hill, KS, passed away on July 12, 2017 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 16, 1945 to Raymond and Gertrude Boyd in Seattle, WA.

He served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps active duty from 1966-1968, continuing his service in the reserves until 1972.

Bill worked as an oil recycling truck driver for Radium Industrial Services in Kansas City, MO, then drove a concrete truck for Advantage Concrete in Melbourne, FL.

He was a member of a motorcycle club called the 31st Street Animals and COBB, the American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

In his spare time, Bill enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing poker, leather crafting, embroidery, woodworking, knife making, building and was truly a "Jack of All Trades".

Bill is survived by his daughter, Jamie Shaffer and her husband, Marvin, son Kelly Brown and his wife, Crystal, grandchildren Sarah, Austin, Brandon, Ann, Will, Dylan, Kevin, Emily, Nate and Wyatt, great-grandchild Bostyn, his brother, Rick Boyd, sister Beverly Coram, along with many extended family members.

Preceding him in death are his mother Gertrude "Trudy" Vest, his father Raymond Boyd, his brothers Raymond Boyd, Jr. and Rodney Boyd, and his sisters Cindy Jordan and Jenny Boyd.

Flowers and donations to the family are welcomed, and memorial contributions in Bill's memory may be given to BACA, Bikers Against Child Abuse, www.bacaworld.org.
