Wayne Edward Murray
Born April 20, 1938 to Ira and Iris Murray, died November 20, 2011.
He is survived by his daughters; Tina Bradford (Richard), Tammy Wetter (Keith) and Teresa Murray, all of Olathe, his three sisters; Nadine Murray, Lillie Murray and Ruth Stone (Richard), one granddaughter; Christina Harralson and four grandsons Jeffrey Harralson, Austin Harralson, Luke Wetter and Kyle Wetter, and one nephew: Richard Stone (Ronda). He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers; Don Murray and Paul Murray.
Wayne grew up in Gardner where he attended Gardner High School. He participated in Basketball, football and Glee Club. He enlisted in The United States Army and served from May 1956 – May 1960.
Wayne was married to Nancy J. (Chasin) from Dec 1963 – Jan. 2007.
He was a carpenter by trade, specializing in trim work, until he retired after 35 years.
He was a member of: Grace United Methodist Church, Carpenters Union 714, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Olathe Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post #153 and the Olathe Trail Riders. He was a member of the Honor Guard in the American Legion.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, camping and woodworking.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
