WARREN EARL JANSEN

Warren Earl Jansen, 84, of Olathe, KS, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2008 in Olathe, KS. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 18, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home (Olathe Chapel) where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Warren was born September 20, 1924 in Atchison, KS and lived in Olathe, KS since 1951. He served our nation in WWII in the US Navy from March 1943 to April, 1946. He began his work career in Mile City, Montana as a radio announcer and technician, retiring from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 34 years of service. He married Colleen Ridgeway in Falls City, NE on November 8, 1947. She preceded him in death on November 8, 2007.

He is survived by all of his brothers and sisters; Clinton Jansen, Dorothy Stanley, Betty Hamm, and JoAnn Edwards; son Mark (wife Denise) Jansen and their children: Jeremy (Olivia) and their children Jonathan and Andrew; Jeffery (Sarah) and their child, Havilah; Joy, Jason, Jessica, and Jaimee; son Larry (wife Judy) Jansen and their children: Timothy and Tessa.
