Wanda Jean Hunt, 90, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024. She was born on March 6, 1933 in Olathe, Kansas to Henry and Cecil (Barker) Radcliffe.
Wanda grew up in Olathe Kansas with her parents and 4 brothers. She graduated from St Johns High School in 1951 and worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell for 13 years. She married Robert Hunt in August 1953 and had 2 children, Doug and Melinda. She worked with her husband keeping books and supporting his business as a service station owner until they retired. She served as a Hospice volunteer for 26 years and loved to garden and work in her yard.
Wanda is survived by her children, Doug Hunt (Mary) and Melinda (Brad) Clark, grandchildren, Luke and Max Clark, brother Pete (Betty) Radcliffe, sister-in-laws and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hunt of 62 years, parents Cecil and Henry Radcliffe, brothers Cork, Jim and Robert Radcliffe.
The family will receive guests for a visitation at 10:00am on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at First Christian Church, 200 E. Loula, Olathe, KS. Followed by a memorial service at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Wanda's memory be made to either the Olathe Hospice House or to the First Christian Church of Olathe.
