Nick Embery, 68, passed away Wednesday, June 29th, at his home in Mission, KS.
Born in Wathena, KS. He was the son of Alfred and Maxine Embery. He received his BS in finance at Emporia State University and recently retired from W. Nicholas Embery & Associates, the financial planning firm he founded.
His "church" was the Mecum Car Auction where he tithed excessively to the God of cubic inches. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, and outstanding friendships.
He is survived by his partner, Carmen "Biscuits" Evans; his children Andrew and Amy; and his favorite grandchild, Emily.
The funeral block party will be held at the American Legion, 7500 W. 75th Street, Overland Park, KS on Friday, July 8th from 4pm - ???.
The family would prefer a ribald toast/story at said party in lieu of flowers.
