Virginia L. Tyson, 76, passed away May 23, 2006 in Weslaco, Texas after a long illness. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Knapp Medical Center Hospice, P.O. Box 1110, Weslaco, TX 78599.
Virginia was born in Emporia, Kansas to David and Margaret Boling and spent most her youth in the Kansas City, Kansas area. Following her marriage to Robert Tysonin 1950 they lived in eastern Kansas, Salina and Garden City. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother she trained to become a cosmetologist and worked in that field for many years. She operated her own salon in Olathe, Kansas. Bob and Virginia also owned and managed the Lok-Pro. When they retired they moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas for 17 years before moving to Weslaco, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Candice & husband Gary Farmer of Olathe, and son Jeff Tyson of Overland Park, a sister Norma Crum of Kansas City, Kansas, and 4 grandchildren.
