Virginia Leepeck Giesch

Virginia Lee Peck Giesch was born on December 3, 1926, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Louis E. and Sue V. Peck. She was a graduate of Paseo High School, and Kansas City University. After graduation, "Pinky", as she was affectionately known, was a flight attendant for Mid-Continent and Braniff Airlines. She married the love of her life, "Jack" and the two shared thirty four years together before his death on December 25, 1986. Together they enjoyed traveling, golfing, bridge, the Kings, the Royals and the Chiefs. An excellent cook and a gracious hostess, she loved entertaining her friends.

Blessed with dear friends from childhood, Cho Chin, Chi Omega, JCYM, Clipped B's, Leawood Women's Club, her bridge and gourmet groups, she lived a full life.

Preceded in death by Jack, her son John, and her parents. She leaves behind a daughter, Nancy Ingram, son-in-law Steve, grandchildren Jamie (Matt) Smiley, great granddaughter Taylor Lyn Smiley, Jeff Ingram, Jason (Lindsay) Ingram and Kaitlyn Giesch.

The family wishes to thank KC Hospice for its wonderful care in her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Olathe Medical Center Hospice or KC Hospice.
