Virginia L. Sullwold

Virginia L. Sullwold, 72, of Lawrence, KS, passed away January 20, 2016 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born in St. Joseph, MO on February 7, 1943. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Sullwold and Agnes Mitchell. Virginia graduated from St. Joseph Central High School in 1961. She went on to the University of Kansas and earned her PhD in Psychology in 1977. She had her own practice in Lawrence for many years. Virginia was married to Neil Ruesh of New York and though divorced, they remained good friends throughout her life.
Virginia is survived by her brother Richard Sullwold and his wife Patricia of St. Jospeh, MO; nephew Mike Sullwold of Helena, MO; and niece Lisa Andresen and her husband Tom and their 3 children of Overland Park, KS.
A memorial service will be held at Unity Church of Lawrence, 900 Madeline Lane, on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 12-1 preceding the service.
