Virginia Belle Hutchinson, 94, of Olathe, passed away on January 3, 2014 at Good Samaritan Nursing Center.
She was born on March 5, 1919 to Milton Homer and Birdie Elizabeth (King) Embrey at Marshall, MO.
On January 29, 1938, she married Wilbur Hutchinson, and together they made their home in Wellsville, KS until moving to the Olathe area in 1957. They were members of the Baptist church while living in Wellsville.
Virginia enjoyed caring for children, and spent many hours working on the farm she owned with her husband.
Virginia is survived by her loving nieces, Grace Rayl, Jolene Hitt, Jane Hickman, Carol Eubanks, JoAnn McDaniels, nephews Roger Clark, Joe Clark, Eddie Chadwick, a loving extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Hutchinson, father, Milton Embrey, mother, Birdie Embrey, sister, Emma Frye, sister, Zula Cox, sister, Hazel Chadwick, sister, Nettie Abell, her brother, Milton "Bud" Embrey and her son, Homer Hutchinson.
Memorials are suggested to Good Samaritan Nursing Center, the American Heart Association, or to the Olathe Medical Center Hospice.
