VIRGIL LEE CUSTER
Age 86, passed away June 9, 2008 in Olathe, KS.
The family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army.
Virgil was born February 3, 1922 in Lincoln, NE to Oren and Hattie Custer. He served our country the the U.S. Army during WWII, and returned to work as a printer for over 40 years. In his retirement, he published three biographies, and was proud of his writing The Return of the Son of Man. Virgil was involved in his church throughout his lifetime, and was always there to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gerrie, his daughter, Kathleen (Norman) Hicks, his son Pete VanDoren, grandchildren, Mark Russell, Sarah Richardson, Elizabeth Hicks, and two great-grandchildren; Sam Russell and Adie Richardson.
He is also survived by his sister, Betty Bottems.
