Vincent Henry Ferrini

January 18, 1941 — January 8, 2021

Vincent (Vince) Henry Ferrini, 79, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away on January 8, 2021 at Research Medical Center from complications due to Covid19.

He was born on January 18, 1941 to Vincent and Marion Ferrini in Manhattan, New York. His family left the inclement weather of the East Coast for the warmer weather of Southern California living.

On August 5, 1961, he married his "honey" Veronica (Ronnie). Vince and Ronnie made their home and raised their family in Lancaster, California. He always referred to her as his angel on earth and that he married up big-time. They moved to Kansas in 2017 to be closer to family.

Vince was a hard worker and a great salesman, selling snow to an Eskimo. He worked his fingers to the bone to move up in every job he held. He was the owner/operator of a Radio Shack Store in Palmdale, California for nearly 25 years where he worked side by side with his wife Ronnie, until he retired. They shared many amazing trips with each other during those Radio Shack years and eventually made it to Italy for their 50th anniversary.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Italian Catholic Federation. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially his beloved Dodgers, golf, wine, fishing, camping, any and all Italian food, shopping, music, cards with other couples, and playing computer games. But most of all he loved helping others and getting to know them and their families and making others laugh with his bigger than life personality. He never forgot anyone's name.

Vince is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Ronnie, daughters, Donna (Pete) Galier, Debbie (Darryl) Poore. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Poore, and survived by his other grandchildren Krista (Braden) Erickson, Timmy Galier, Lauren Galier and Kayla Poore and his beloved dog Joey. He is also survived by his sister Claudia (Steve) Klann. He was very proud of his daughters and all five of his grandchildren and he would try to introduce them to everyone, no matter where he went.

The family would love for everyone to visit the guestbook at the Penwell-Gabel website and leave a message they can read to Ronnie.

We would like to thank all the heroes who work at Silvercrest on College Blvd. and at Research Medical Center. Your love, care and friendship meant the world to Vince.

Due to the Covid pandemic a private family service will be held Inurnment at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley, Kansas.
