Vida Mae McCoy, 90 of Olathe, Kansas passed away on February 27, 2015.
She was born on November 20, 1924 to Frank and Eliza Mitts in Clarence, Missouri.
Vida is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, John McCoy; children Stephen (Carol) McCoy and Leah (Don) Wards; six grandchildren Erinn, Carlo, Elisa, Patrick, Justin, and Tiffany; and seven great-granchildren Tyler, Madison, Noelle, Pheonix, Gideon, Vida, and Quinn.
Vida Mae was preceded in death by her grandsons Timothy and Mario.
Vida Mae and John met at Missouri Valley College and were married in 1948. They soon left for new York so John could pursue a masters Degree in Sacred Music. Their love of music was an integral part of their lives together. This included participation in many choral, organ, and piano performances.
