Verlin Dean Goss, 75, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020. He was born on November 29, 1944 in Garden City, Kansas to Orie and Kathleen (Miller) Goss.
Verlin grew up in Garden City Kansas. He moved to the Kansas City area around 1965. He began a career in the Trucking business. He worked at Grave's Truckline which eventually became ANR Trucking. He was a local driver and never had to travel out of town. He retired in 1999. Verlin loved to do yard work in his spare time. He maintained beautiful flower gardens. He also loved rose bushes. Verlin had a talent of building walls, planters, barbecue grill and other projects using big limestone rocks. In retirement, Verlin got into Construction of building new homes. He built several new homes including the house lived in.
Verlin is survived by his sisters Louetta Dague and Kathy Phillips, his brothers Merle Goss and Curtis Goss. Verlin is also survived by his loving children Debbie Delana, Dave Goss, Dan Goss (Spouse Danette Goss), Dean Goss (Christy), Darin Goss (Spouse Terry Goss), Deric Goss (Spouse Liz Goss), and Duane Goss (Spouse Heather Goss), 11 Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Verlin was preceded in death by his parents, Orie and Kathleen Goss, and his brother Dwight Goss.
The memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, August 14, 2020, at Penwell Gabel's Olathe Chapel.
