Veliene Woods

VELIENE V. (Vi) Woods, 84 years of age, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 30, 2006., Veliene was born February 6, 1922 in Chanute, KS to Jack and Gertrude Chambers. She married Don Woods in October , 1940, and they became the parents of three children.

Veliene was a long-time member of Vista Baptist Church where she was very active in the ministries of the church as well as teaching children's Sunday School classes for over twenty years.

Veliene was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bill Chambers and one son-in-law, Richard Brenner. She is survived by children, Janice Brenner, of Olathe, KS, Larry Woods and wife ,Toni, of Spring Hill, KS, and Lisa Wolters and husband, Kirk, of Overland Park, KS,; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
