Tuyet Thi Ong was born on October 1, 1937, to her father, Chung Van Ong, and mother, Ho Thi Huynh. She passed away on January 17, 2025, in Olathe, KS. Growing up in the bustling city of Saigon, Vietnam, Tuyet was fluent in French and Vietnamese. After the wars, Tuyet took into her home her mother, sisters, nephew, niece, and later cousins with their children. Tuyet is remembered for her fierce advocacy for those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Xuan Thi Ong. She is survived by her sister, Dao Anh Ong, brother-in-law, Nguyen Ong, nephew, Vu Ong, niece, Phuong Ong with husband Nhan Tran and great nephews, Andrew Tran and Austin Tran, and cousins, including Loan Nguyen (husband Duc Nguyen) of Texas, Khanh Huynh (wife Anh Huynh), Nga Dills, and Thuy Huynh of Missouri, and Loc Huynh (wife Nhung Huynh) of California, and Han Nguyen (husband Tang Vo) of Texas, Phuoc Huynh (wife Sang Nguyen), and Dung Huynh (wife Quyen Pham) of Saigon, Vietnam.
