Tim passed away July 27, 2017 at the age of 71, after a long illness. He is survived by a wife, four children, seven grandchildren, a brother, and many friends. Tim was very proud of his careers with both the United States Coast Guard and the United States Customs and Border Protection from which he was retired.
Despite disabilities from his illness, Tim possessed a positive spirit, tenacious love of life, and a witty personality bringing joy and laughter to those around him. He takes with him the love of family and friends and will be forever deeply missed.
We will be having a memorial service to celebrate Tim's life on Wednesday, August 2 at 2:00pm at Penwall – Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, KS. Prior to the service, family will be present from 1:00pm – 2:00pm to share stories and loving memories from Tim's life. His military service will be honored by internment at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe, Hawaii. In lieu of flowers, family is requesting a donation to Tim's favorite charity, St. Jude's Children Hospital.
