THOMAS J. SANDS
Age 88, passed away November 14, 2006 in Olathe, KS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 3301 Stoudts Ferry Bridge Road, Reading, PA 19605, followed by funeral services on Wednesday, November 22 at 10:00 a.m. where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. Interment, Mohnsville Cemetery, Mohnton. The family suggests memorials to the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, 6401 Paseo, Kansas City, MO 64131.
Thomas was born on August 12, 1918 in Laureldale, PA to Harry and Irene Sands. He graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1936. He married Mary Taylor on April 4, 1947, and they made their home in the Reading/Allentown area for the next 48 years. Thomas moved to the Olathe, KS area in 2001 to be near his family.
He is survived by his son, Tom (Sandi) Sands of Olathe, KS, his granddaughters Tami and Terrie, great-grand-daughter, Peyton, all of Olathe, and his sister Peggy (Lynn) Boyer, of Reading, PA.
