Thomas Nyemaster

October 17, 2015 — November 15, 2015

Thomas ( or Tom to his friends and loved ones) was a most remarkable Christian man. He loved his Lord and tried to mold his life to do God's work. He had many close friends who shared his faith and he tried to encourage everyone he knew to follow God's word through his actions and deeds.

Tom was adopted when he was an infant which gave him the desire for a close family of his own. He had a stronger bond with his children, Heather, Jon and Nicole, then most men because they were the only blood relatives he knew. He carried that extreme love through to his 5 grandchildren: Reagan, Trenton, Ashley, Jake and Murphy. He was not only "papa" to them, but to the friends they brought to the house. His home always had an open door to strangers, an extra seat at the table during any holiday, and a willing heart to listen.

Tom was the (sometimes reluctant) recipient of his wife, Judy's whims. Whether it is to open his house to card parties, Red Hat barbeques or dressing him up in a tuxedo to attend a Jester dinner, he could never deny her. Married for 47 ½ years he indulged Judy's craziness with that quirky little grin of his and a roll of his eyes that would have everyone around him in stitches.

Tom was a born salesman, earning outstanding awards and incentive trips all over the United States. Retired, Tom's last work was with Assisted Transportation driving children around town to various destinations. His love of children was always apparent and showed. When he drove a school bus he had many special times with his students and fun stories to tell.

Tom was heavily involved in masonic organizations. He was awarded the Honorary Legion of Honor, which is the highest gift of the Supreme Council granted by the Order of DeMolay for boys. He was a member of the Akdar shrine, and the Royal Order of Jesters. He was also a 32nd degree mason and was very proud of his accomplishment.

Tom took pride in his yard- especially his roses and maple trees. He nurtured those like he nurtured the relationships with his neighbors. He loved to visit and made sure his neighbors were welcomed and introduced to others. He was lovingly called the neighborhood watchdog.

Tom will greatly missed with his easy way and compassion with everyone he knew. He is survived by, his wife Judy, his children, Heather, Jon and Nicole and his beloved 5 grandchildren and his 2 four legged children – Moxey and Tiffany. He is also survived by his sister, Marti Nyemaster Schelb.
