THOMAS MORTON, JR.
a long-time resident of Florence, Alabama, passed away November 17, 2005 in Royal Terrace Nursing Center, Olathe, KS. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 25 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1111 E. College St. at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends in the church an hour prior to the service. Burial, Greenview Memorial Park, Florence. Remembrances are suggested to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, or to the church.
Thomas was born on December 4, 1926 in Lowell, MA to Thomas Morton Sr., and Mabel (Shaw) Morton. He served our country for over 20 years in the United States Navy and civil service.
He is survived by his son, Thomas D. (Fran) Morton of Fresno, CA, his daughters Valerie (Don) Blanchard of Overland Park, KS, and Candy
(Chuck) Turner of Central Point, OR, step-daughter Diana Lynn LeMay of Florence, AL, and sister Audrey (Paul) Hession, of La Mesa, CA, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Olive Morton, in 2002, and one sister and brother.
