Thomas Loren Goodloe Sr., 74, of Shawnee, KS passed away on Wednesday, April 9th at the Hospice House of Kansas City.
Tom was born on May 7, 1939 in Stillwell, KS to Harold and Lillian Goodloe. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Air Force. Shortly after, he married Bonnie Pruitt on June 26, 1958. Together, they had three children; Linda, Thomas Jr., and Daniel. All three children have wonderful memories of their father playing the guitar and telling jokes. Tom always worked hard to provide for his family. He was a part of the pipe fitter's union until he retired in September 2001 from Honeywell. After the death of his beloved wife, he found comfort with Barbara Knapp and they were married in Las Vegas in 1992.
He is survived by two brothers; Robert (Stillwell, KS) and Roger (Topeka, KS). He is also survived by three children; Linda Goodloe (Tim) of Shawnee, KS, Thomas Goodloe Jr. (Brenda) of Spring Hill, KS, and Danny Goodloe (Jeanne) of Kansas City, KS and Barbara's children and their families; Karen Larkins and Beth Knapp. Other surviving family includes his grandchildren; Tiffany Billingsley (Jeff), Josh Goodloe (Amy), Jessica McDaniel (Josh), Maranda Cochran, and Justin Bowman (Renee), and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his best four-legged friend, Gretchen, his dachshund.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lillian Goodloe, his wife of over 30 years Bonnie, his second wife Barbara, and his brother Kenneth.
He was an amazing father, brother, husband, and Papaw. He will be dearly missed, but the memories of him playing the guitar, telling jokes, and trips to the Woodlands will go on forever.
