Theresa Louise Reid, 81, of Basehor, Kansas, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022. She was born on December 5, 1941 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Thomas and Dorthy (Potter) Larkin.
Theresa grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas and graduated from Imaculata High School. In August of 1964, she married the love of her life, Larry Reid. Together they had three children, William, Gene, and Karen. Theresa stayed involved in her children's activities by volunteering with the Girl Scouts, the Boy Scouts, and the PTO. She was a wonderful cook and was known especially for her cakes, which many people would ask her for. She went to work for Walmart in Leavenworth in 1979 and eventually retired as department manager in 2005.
Theresa is survived by her children, William Reid, Gene Reid, and Karen Reid; her sister, Tana Burns; and her grandchildren, Alex Reid and Abbie Reid; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Larry Reid.
The family requests that donations in Theresa's memory be made to The American Stroke Foundation.
