Theodore A. Hirth
Age 89, went to see his maker and loved ones on October 19,2007, in Shawnee Mission, KS. A memorial and Masonic service will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS, where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. The family suggests memorials to the Union Congregational Church, 3 Elm Street, Rockville, CT 06066.
Theodore was born October 10, 1918 in Rockville, CT, to Martin and Edith Hirth. He attended school in Rockville, and was employed with AETNA Life and Casualty Company. His activities included membership in the Aetna 39'rs Retirees, and also the York Rite Masonry in both Connecticut and Missouri. He was also a member of the Masonic Veterans, a member of the U.S. Army 28th Div., and American Prisoners of War. In his retirement, he taught Driver Alive classes, and was involved with the Vernon Grange.
He is survived by his son, Paul and his wife Linda of Olathe, KS, and two grandsons, Frederick and Robert, also of Olathe, a grand-daughter Kristen and their mother Elsie, of Shawnee Mission, KS. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Winifred, in 2005.
