Terry Lee Ward

Terry Lee Ward, 71, of Olathe, passed away on August 21, 2021, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 10, 1950, to Dalton and Wanda (Lister) Ward in Batesville, AR.

Terry was a hard worker. He was a business owner and most recently he worked in IT at CenturyLink for 20 years before retiring in 2015. Terry was incredibly handy and was always the one to call when you needed something fixed.

He was a member of Overland Park Baptist Church and he loved watching movies. You could often find him reclining in his chair laughing at some corny joke or commercial he saw on television. Terry thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family - especially his grandkids. He also had a passion for aviation.

Terry was the beloved husband and best friend of his one and only love of 52 years, Marsha Gail (Branscum) Ward. Devoted father of Lana Williams – husband Dave and Christopher Ward – wife Megan. Proud Papa of Justin, Devin, Annie, and Silas. Terry is also survived by his brother, Keith, and sister, Vicki. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harold.

A visitation and memorial service to honor Terry's life will be held at Overland Park Baptist Church on Friday, August 27, 2021, with visitation at 10am, followed by a memorial service to begin at 11am, immediately following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Overland Park Baptist Church in support of the church's missionaries.
