TERRY A. NOLIN

Terry A. Nolin, 66, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at his home after a one year battle with cancer. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 16, at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., in Olathe, KS. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 17, at 10:00am at the funeral home where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. Interment, Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Children's Ministries at Lenexa Christian Center, 17500 W. 87th St Pkwy, Lenexa, KS or to Kansas City Cancer Center, Overland Park, KS.


He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on September 30, 1938 to LaVerne and Doris Tyrell Nolin. He served our country in the Army National Guard from 1960 to 1966.

Terry worked at R-O Corporation for many years. After R-O downsized, he worked at First
Presbyterian Church in Olathe and The Church of Christ in Overland Park. He had recently retired from Laidlaw Bus Services, driving for pre-kindergarten and special needs children. He loved any kind of work that involved children.

Terry had lived in Olathe for 55 years. He and his wife attended Lenexa Christian Center.

Terry married Sharylin (Kay) Wright on September 8, 1961 in Olathe. She survives at the home. He was preceded in death by his father, LaVerne Nolin.

Other survivors include his son, Steven (Julie) Nolin and their children Caymen and Kelsey Lee, of Coffeyville, Kansas, Daughter Edie (Mike) Crevoiserat and their children Rachelle, Kennedy, and Zachary of Olathe, and Daughter Jane (Shaun) Kaldahl and their children Alex and Aaron of Olathe. He will be greatly missed.
