Teresa (Terri) L. Coulter, 62, of Olathe, KS passed away Thursday Sept. 6, 2012 at the Kansas City Hospice House. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the National Marrow Donor Program at www.marrow.org/Giving.
Terri was born June 12, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK to Carl and Norma Jean Snyder. She graduated from Washington High School, Kansas City, KS in 1968. She earned a BS in Elementary Education from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1975 and later completed an MA from the University of Kansas. Terri's 31-year teaching career began in Nashville, TN and was completed in 2010 after 27 years at Black Bob Elementary School in Olathe, KS. She was a gifted teacher who impacted the lives of thousands of students, parents, and co-workers.
Terri's indomitable, gracious, and loving spirit endured to the very end. She welcomed hundreds of friends and family to her room at Hospice House to say, "See you later", and receive their messages of hope and love. She dedicated her life to loving and serving God, her family, her friends, and students. She leaves a great legacy and a great example to follow.
She is survived by her husband Gary; a daughter, Sherri Dean; a son, Derek; four grandchildren; parents; and brother, Ric.
