Tanya Jane (Traylor) Clayton was born in Visalia, California on October 13, 1963 and passed away on June 25, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House.
She was the oldest of 5 children and she never stopped taking care of her siblings even after they were grown. She held numerous jobs throughout her life, but her most important accomplishment was being a mother to her four children. Tanya was especially proud of them and was devoted to being involved in their lives and activities. She was also a fun and loving grandmother to four lucky grandchildren. She was working as an insurance representative when she was diagnosed with cancer in the spring of 2009. Tanya was a member of Lifepointe Church in Olathe.
Tanya loved life and nothing made her happier that helping family and friends however she could. Her laughter and enthusiasm were contagious. Her smile and spirited attitude will be missed by all those who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca and son-in-law Alvin of Lee's Summit, MO; son Michael of Lenexa, KS, daughter Brianna of Lenexa, KS and son Tory of Lenexa, KS; grandchildren Destin, Sienna, Ariana, and Amaya of Lee's Summit, MO; parents James and Sandra Heppler of Princeton, KS; sister and husband Jenene and Victor Harris of Shawnee, KS; brother and wife Steve and Rachel Traylor of Olathe, KS; brother and wife Peter and Carrie Heppler of Princeton, KS; brother and wife Jamie and Mary Alice Heppler and numerous nieces and nephews.
