Sybil Goudelock

Sybil Louise (Malott) Goudelock, 84, of Olathe, KS passed away May 3, 2008. She was born in Springfield, MO on August 1, 1923, and lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Hugh James (Jim) Goudelock. She leaves two sons; James Philip (Linda) of Livingston, TX and John David (Kathy) of Olathe, KS. She also leaves four grandchildren, Christine Lynn (Rick) Kennedy, Tallahassee, FL, William Seth Goudelock, Jacksonville, FL, Sonsearae Stanley, Crestview, FL, and Joel David (Dawn) Goudelock of Mason, OH, as well as five great-grandchildren, Jackson and Callie Kennedy, Ethan and Bailey Goudelock, and Owen David Goudelock. Following the death of her mother when she was six, she was raised by her aunt and uncle , Lorena (Malott) and William J. Senden. She served as an executive secretary for 30 years, first at the Valley View School District, then later at the Shawnee Mission School District. She had been active in many organizations, including The Lions Club, and ABWA, and enjoyed travel and playing bridge. She will be remembered with love by her immediate family as well as nieces and nephews and their families and many, many friends.

Interment, Ft. Leavenworth Military Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Sybil's Memorial Fund established through Aldersgate UMC.
