Steven "Steve" G. Douglas, 49, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020. He was born on September 10, 1971 in Kansas City, Missouri to Calvin and Verna (Paige) Douglas.
Steve grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. He attended William Allen White Elementary, Coronado Middle School, Schlagle High School, and graduated from Kansas University with a bachelor degree in Communication. Steve spent the last 6yrs working for US Bank and before that, he was with Sprint for approximately 20yrs. Steve and Cynthia's favorite places to travel were Cancun Mexico, New Orleans, and cruising to Caribbean Islands. Steve was a bbq enthusiast and loved sharing his delicious food with family and friends. Steve served as an Elder in the Lenexa congregation in Shawnee Kansas, something he truly loved. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends from various congregations as he served as one of Jehovah's Witnesses faithfully since his baptism December 2000 until his passing. Steve was known for his caring, humble, calm demeanor and making people laugh and he will be sorely missed by many.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Douglas of Olathe, KS; daughter, Bianca Jones (Geno) of Kansas City, MO; parents, Calvin and Verna Douglas of Kansas City, KS; sister, Stephanie Phillips (Michael) of Dallas TX; nephew, Calvin Seino of Washington DC; nieces, Savannah and Sarah Phillips of Dallas TX
Athletic Accomplishments:
Little League Baseball – Awarded all-star 1st basemen; Wrestling; Football (High School) selected 1st team offense and defense; Full ride scholarship to Kansas University
