Steven Wayne Reynolds, 61, of Mound City, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. He was born on November 12, 1962 in Kansas City, Kansas to Wayne Reynolds and Carole (Wolff) Karigan.
Steven was baptized Catholic as an infant. Steven grew up in the Olathe area where he attended grade school through high school. He was the oldest and most strong willed of the brothers, often keeping his parents on their toes. After high school he held various jobs, but soon realized that trucking was his forte. He began his trucking career in early years with his father, and continued driving throughout his life, ending with Wright Trucking in Mound City, Missouri.
Steven is survived by his daughter, Ashley Reynolds; mother, Carole Karigan; brothers, Jeff (Robyn) and Brent Reynolds; step-siblings, Kim and Bill (Tracy) Karigan, Starla Cushman; step-daughters, Tabetha Blanton and Lacey Farnen; nieces and nephews, Carson, Callie (Connor), Megan, Chloe, and Reagan Reynolds; Aunt Robin (Doug) Hylton, amongst many other friends and family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Reynolds; step-father, Tom Karigan; grandparents, Elva and Gene Davis; grandfather, Elvin Reynolds Sr; grandmother, Rena Crawford; step-son, Jonathon Wilson.
The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Penwell Gabel's Olathe Chapel, with Visitation following until 8:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe with burial to follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Steven's memory be made to Catholic Charities or Prince of Peace Church in Olathe and Children's Mercy Hospital.
