At home and surrounded by family, Steven Wade Logan, 54, died peacefully on November 22, 2017, of glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. The eldest son of Bill and Judy Logan (both deceased), Wade grew up in Olathe and graduated from Olathe High School in 1981. During that time, Wade met Debra Sill, whom he dated until they married in 1983.
A lifelong outdoorsman, Wade loved nature, enjoying every opportunity to fish and hunt. Possessing a work ethic as solid as his loyalty to the outdoors, Wade was employed by AT&T for more than 20 years.
Wade is survived by his wife, Debi; his children, Tori (31), Lyle (25), Tara (21); and his soon-to-arrive grandson, Clinton, due in February to Tori and fiancé, Ryan Curtis. He also leaves a sister, Stephanie Logan Greene, and two brothers, Mark and Duke. A large extended family, many friends, and beloved pets also survive him.
Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Wade's memory to the Nature Conservancy in Kansas or to Hospice of Olathe Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be held at Wade and Debi's home on Thursday, November 30, from 7-9 p.m.
