Stephan "Steve" Martin Ginie, 78, of Olathe passed away peacefully on June 27, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife and children at Prairie Elder Care in Overland Park, Kansas.

He was born on June 21, 1943, to Martin and Mary (Sullivan) Ginie in Clinton, Iowa. He received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.

On June 21, 1969, Steve married Jerilyn "Jeri" Ann Cavanagh, and they initially made their homes in Chicago, Illinois and Springfield, Illinois. They spent the majority of their life together in Olathe, Kansas with their children Kathi, Kerry, and Ryan.

Steve was the Branch Chief of Financial Operations for the United States Department of Agriculture and worked for the government for almost 40 years.

He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus and a faithful member of Prince of Peace Church.

Steve touched many lives and will be remembered for his love of playing pool, golfing, fishing, waterskiing, ping-pong, dancing the jitterbug—and especially for his love of family and friends.
