Stanley G. Hostetler, 78, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away May 29, 2013. He was born June 8, 1934 in Kress, Texas, the son of Edgar and Helen (Finley) Hostetler.
Stan graduated from Kress High School in 1952. He went on to Lipperts Business School where he studied court reporting. He was a court reporter for 49 years. He was owner and operator of Hostetler & Associates, Inc.¸ Court Reporting.
Stan was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Hostetler, his father Edgar Hostetler, two brothers Robert Hostetler and Rex Hostetler and a son David Hostetler.
Stan loved to read, garden, cook, and travel with his wife and family and close friends and spend time with his loving family.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Hostetler of 60 years, of the home, his sons, Kelly Hostetler of Louisburg, Kansas, Scott (Chris) Hostetler of Shawnee, Kansas, Stephen (Susan) Hostetler of Shawnee, Kansas, Douglas (Patti) Hostetler, Spring Hill, Kansas. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren Heather (Curt) Coutts, Gardner, Kansas, Sally (Shannon) Moore, Shawnee, Kansas, Alan Hostetler, Shawnee, Kansas, Laura (Will) Reese, Overland Park, Kansas , Shayla (Aaron) Riley, Olathe, Kansas and Stephen Hostetler, Shawnee, Kansas. He also leaves behind ten great grandchildren Kelsey Standen, Brianna Hostetler, Shannon, Braydon & Juddson Moore, Jillian, Meredith, Thompson & Genevieve Reese and Locklan Riley. He will also be greatly missed by all his extended family and friends.
