Stacy R. Porter, 76, Spring Hill, KS passed away at his home Monday, February 21, 2005.
Stacy was born May 11, 1928 in Dawson, PA to S.E. & Olive Porter. He was a 1946 graduate of Connellsville High School in Connellsville, PA. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper for 2 years. He attended Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia. He worked for International Harvester Company 35 Years before retiring in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Scott Reynolds Porter, and a niece; Stephanie Duff.
He leaves his wife of 48 years; Shirley Porter, children; Stacie & husband Dennis Lindsey of Olathe, KS, grandchildren; Jessica, Blake, Tyler & Cole Lindsey all of Olathe, sister; Ann & husband Jack Groves of Warrington, PA, brother; Sam & wife Marcia Porter of Orlando, FL, mother-in-law; Ruth Stakelbeck of Scottdale, PA, sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Gloria & Ralph Duff of Mt. Pleasant, PA, 4 nieces, 3 nephews and many beloved pets.
