Souksana "Souk" Khamsihong, 54, of Olathe, KS, passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2019.
Souk is survived by his loving wife, Phonesavanh "Toun" and two lovely daughters Malissa and Martina.
Souk was born on April 5, 1965 to Bounthieng and Khambay Khamsihong in Champasak, Laos. He was the second child of six and only son. Souk's family immigrated to the United States in 1981 to start a new life in America. He married Toun in November of 1993.
He was blessed with his first daughter, Malissa, on July 5, 2001. Malissa is currently attending Johnson County Community College pursuing a degree in nursing. His youngest daughter, Martina was born on April 26, 2007. Martina is currently a student at Oregon Trail Middle School. His daughters were the center of his world and most important and joyful part of his life.
Souk worked for Blue Valley Northwest for over 20 years. He was a dedicated employee was always proud of the work he accomplished. He brought many smiles to staff and students at the school during his tenure.
Souk was a loving husband, devoted father and an avid hunter and angler. He enjoyed time in the outdoors and loved to entertain family and friends. Souk was always known as the life of the party and could always put a smile on your face. He loved country music and was known to sing and dance from time to time. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, at Penwell Gabel's Olathe Chapel located at 14275 S. Black Bob Road. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
