Skariah Abraham Eeattinilkunnakalayil

November 24, 1954 — May 10, 2022

Skariah Abraham Eeattinilkunnakalayil was lovingly referred to as Pappachan, Pappa, Dad, and Appacha. He was born on November 24, 1954 to E.T. Abraham and Kunjamma Abraham as part of the Eeattinilkunnakalayil family in Vayalathala, Pathanamthitta, Kerala, India. Pappachan was the second son in the family and also has two younger sisters.

Pappachan is survived by his wife, Ammini Skariah, his three children, Benno, Betty, and Berin, his daughters-in-law, Nipi and Lisa, his son-in-law, Binny, and his three grandsons, Bennett, Bedan, and John.

In 1972 he moved to Bangalore to pursue job opportunities. In 1978 he met Ammini (Kaimannil House, Elanthoor), and they were married that same year. They were active members of the Jerusalem Marthoma Church, Karamveli. He was the first secretary of the church. He moved to Muscat, Oman in May 1990 for his job and worked there for nine years.

In July 1999 the family immigrated to the USA and settled in Kansas, where he worked for 23 years. He became an active member of the Kansas Marthoma Church. Pappachan served the Lord for many years as the trustee, secretary, and the choir leader in that congregation. He was then a founding member of the Kansas City Christian Fellowship (KCCF) and dedicated much of his time toward the growth of the church, even serving as the president of the KCCF. He was also an active member of the Kerala Association of Kansas City (KAKC), and he served a term as vice president.

Pappachan's greatest pride was his family. He enjoyed traveling, family dinners, gardening, music, and spending time with his grandsons. He was well-respected and was known for his generous and helpful spirit and his infectious smile.
