Sid was born in Olathe, KS and remained in the area her entire life. She graduated from Olathe High School in 1953 and was a young church member with her grandmother, Mamie Norris, a master of cooking who taught Sid so much about baking. No family visit was complete without Sid's assorted baked goods in hand. She had multiple occupations, her proudest being an LPN and serving in an Olathe Nursing home. Her favorite occupation, however, was Mother and Grandmother. There was not a baseball, football, soccer game she would not attend. She was the 'glue' of the family, uniting grandkids and great grandkids at every opportunity. Sid and Arman love to travel, from several trips to Hawaii and Florida, to annual trips to Las Vegas, Lake of the Ozarks and South Texas. She also enjoyed her movies, Old Settler's in Olathe, giving "Weiner Dog Cards" for every occasion, and cooking for her husband, Arman. Left here to watch over Arman is her favorite child of 4 legs, Holly, her dachshund, who brought her so much joy.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Dreams Work, Inc. 11217 Strang Line Rd. Lenexa, KS 66215.
