Sidney B. Fiser, 73, of Olathe, KS, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2009 surrounded by some of those who loved him. Sid was born November 23, 1935 to Russell and Alta Fiser in Harrison, Arkansas.
He attended Longfellow Grade School and graduated from Manual High School in Kansas City. During high school and while working on his carpenter's apprenticeship, he worked at the Midland Theater. His carpenter's career included employment at American Sash and Door, Rauddis Lumber, Ben Miller Lumber, Century Wood Products and retiring from Continental Cast Stone. An avid NASCAR fan, after retiring, Sid returned to "Work" part-time at the Kansas Speedway. He enjoyed working in the garage area where he got to meet alot of the drivers, pit crews, owners and sponsors.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving companion, Linda Schroeder of the home, his son David (Jacci) Brattin and grand-daughter Samantha, step-daughters Joy (Bill) Adams and grandson Derick, and grand-daughter Jennifer (Joe) Koenig and two great grandsons; brother Russell (Julie), sisters Connie Fiser and Joyce Belcher and niece Janice Belcher; sister-in-law Debra (Michael) Griffith; brother-in-law Mark(Stephanie) Schroeder and nephews Nathan and Daniel Schroeder and many, many friends. Thank you Sid, for all you have done for us and for your many friends.
We will miss you and never forget you.
