Shirlie Mae Klarkowski

January 16, 1946 — April 12, 2022

Shirlie Mae (Walsh) Klarkowski, 76, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 16, 1946, Shirlie was the daughter of the late Norm and Opal (Munger) Walsh.

Shirlie's love for her husband, children and grandchildren was a significant part of her life. Spending time with them gave her the greatest joy. Shirlie loved making a home for her family and relished her time with them on any occasion.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tom, sons Tony (Kristin) Klarkowski of Minneapolis, MN, and Tim (Jodi) Klarkowski of Olathe, KS, daughter Nicole (Jeremy) Peterson of Olathe, KS, grandchildren Tate, Elle, Teddy, Ty, and Bennett, four sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents along with two sisters and three brothers.

The family is grateful to the Olathe Hospice House staff, and the staff of Olathe Medical Center for their loving care.

Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, at The Heritage Center at Mahaffie, 1200 E Kansas City Road, Olathe, KS.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to The Homeless Outreach.
