Shirley Ann Vonfeldt passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Anthology of Olathe Assisted Living in Olathe, Kansas at the age of 90.
Shirley was born on February 24, 1934, to Francis H and Josephine (Windholz) Robben in Walker, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Augustine Francis Vonfeldt on August 22, 1951. The couple was blessed with four children: Roger, Karen, Keith and Alan.
Shirley grew up in Walker, KS. She attended grade school and high school in Gorham KS. She graduated from Plainville High School, Plainville, KS in 1967.
Shirley enjoyed crafting, sewing, crocheting, cross stitching, crossword puzzles, going to thrift stores/garage sales and word find, she also spent hours putting together puzzles. When her family was in town, she enjoyed taking them to the Cardinal Inn to have a meal and visit. Afternoon Bingo and Ice Cream Day were some of the highlights she appreciated.
Shirley is survived by her children, Roger (Karen) Vonfeldt of Moscow, ID, Karen Adams of Olathe, KS, Keith (Stacey) Vonfeldt of Wichita, KS, and Alan (Pamela)Vonfeldt of Andover KS., 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren, Sisters: June Denning of Plainville, KS, Lillian (Kenneth) Hockman of Sacramento, CA, Sister-in-Laws: Louise Robben and Doris Robben both of Victoria, KS, Brother-in-Laws: GL Vonfeldt of Larned, KS, Steve (Peggy) Vonfeldt of Auburn, WA, and Dennis (Judy)Vonfeldt of Dover, NH.
She is preceded in death by her husband Augustine Francis Vonfeldt, her parents: Francis and Josie Robben, Brothers: Norbert & Theresa Robben, Chuck Robben, Kenneth Robben, Francis Henry Robben, Jr. Sister: Natilie and Marion Schumacher, Brother-in-law: Robert and Belva Vonfeldt, Sisters-in-law: Viola and Harvey Walton, Agatha and Fred Gross, Augusta and Bob Nun, Rose and Ed Bahr and GL's wife Shirley Vonfeldt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday June 8, 2024, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville, Kansas with interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery Plainville, Kansas. Rosary at 10:00 AM and Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM. There will be no visitation.
