Shirley Anne Kennedy, 83, of Olathe, passed away on December 4, 2019 at Olathe Medical Center.
She was born on November 26, 1936 to Dwight and Golda (Knapp) Steffen in Yates Center, KS.
Shirley worked as a Catering Supervisor for the Olathe School District.
On February 3, 1962, she married Dan W. Kennedy, and they made their home in Wichita, Kansas. They moved to Olathe, Kansas in 1976.
She was a member of Seniors Serving Schools and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed gardening, garage saleing, hummingbirds, her kitty cats, and her family.
Surviving family include her children, Torrie Epperson (Dennis), Doug Llamas, Steve Kennedy, and Kristy Smart. She also had four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dan, in 2018.
Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society or the Salvation Army of Olathe, in her memory.
