Sherri A. White, 66, of Olathe, KS passed Thursday December 14, 2017. A memorial visitation will be 6-8PM Tues. Dec. 19 at Penwell-Gabel, Olathe Chapel where we will celebrate her life.
Sherri was born September 24, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Richard and Lois Thompson, she attended Shawnee Mission North High School and attended Pittsburg State University. She married Steve J. White July 29, 1972 at Holy Cross in Overland Park. Their careers began in Hutchinson, Kansas where they enjoyed many friendships and loved playing softball where Sherri played a mean second base. They moved back to KC and made their home in Olathe where they raised their two sons, Clint and Weston. She worked in administrative positions for Manley Truck Line, Overland Park, Inland Industries, Lenexa, and retired from Sprint, Overland Park after 20 years. She enjoyed being involved in her son's sports and photography. Her Facebook page is full of her pictures of birds, barns, and family. She took a lot of pride in her grandchildren and enjoyed being with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Roger Thompson.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years Steve White, her two sons Clint (Brook) and Weston (Karen), grand children; Oliver, Everett, Luna, Mason, and Madelyn, and sister-in-law Linda Thompson.
